Dried Stick Fruit, Bag of 5
Parmentiera cereifera, or the candle tree, is a species of tree in the family Bignoniaceae. It is endemic to Panama, but it is also a commonly cultivated specimen in botanical gardens. This tree produces this unusual-looking fruit, somewhat resemblant of oversized broad bean pods.
The fruit’s outer shell is hard when dried, and takes on this dark black-brown colour.
